Canon AE-1 – Video Review

After much filming, lots of trial and error, and countless hours of editing, we’ve finally finished our very first video review. We’ve started with a camera that’s among the most popular film cameras of all time, Canon’s AE-1.

Take a look, and let us know what you think. And while you’re at it, why not point us in the direction of a camera you’d like us to talk about next?

If you’d like to read our in-depth review of Canon’s AE-1, check it out here.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this ever since you said you’d start doing video’s and I’m thoroughly impressed, really enjoyed it. It’s not too serious, the right level of minor comedy, it suits the style of the blog really well. Well done.
On a side note your voice sounds nothing like what I had in my head every time I’ve read one of your post’s, is it just me or does everyone else imagine someone sounds a particular way when they read article’s?

Love the quirky tone and funny visual bits here, not to mention the useful advice. Definitely . . . keep up with these really cool video reviews.

I’ve got plans to get these going again. They took a back seat because I lost my cameraman/coproducer.

Thanks James. I learned something about the camera that I didn’t know (actually I own the AE-1 Program – but anyway they are not that different).
I liked your pace in the video review, not the usual speed talking that many use. Very good, keep up the good work and let us have more video reviews. So hope you find a new cameraman/coproducer.
    Best regards, Bo
